Voters have some important decisions to make April 7th. The hottest topic being Senate Bill 3. There seems to be a lot of confusion and misinformation going around so the Mayor and the City of Seymour has invited County Clerk, Stan Whitehurst, to come and explain Senate Bill 3 and share the facts, as we know them. Feel free to bring your questions. This is NOT a forum to convince you to vote one way or the other, it is just strictly for educational purposes. City leaders and school officials will be present to answer any questions that pertain directly to how this bill could affect the city and the school. Stan Whitehurst will share with you what county programs are funded through property taxes and how it could impact those programs, if at all.
We are doing this as a service to our community so as people go to cast their vote on April 7th, they are making an informed decision. Everyone is invited.
